SAN FRANCISCO: Now Alphabet and Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai have agreed that a new direction is needed to control Artificial Intelligence (AI). Earlier, Microsoft President Brad Smith and Tesla CEO Alan Musk also spoke. According to Pichai, this technology can not only provide better access to medical research and consumers, but also solve other problems in the world.
Pichai wrote in The Financial Times editorial how to adopt AI. One needs to be very cautious when engaging them in life. Many companies like us can not only promote new technology but also look at how the strength of the market is utilizing it. We must manage this technology to reach everyone. Pichai took over as CEO of Alphabet, Google’s parent company, last month. He has replaced co-founder Larry Page of the company.
Need to maintain a balance between the potential profit-loss of AI
“We need to adopt a new perspective for AI,” Pichai said. For that, Google Expert, experience and resources will be invested. We have to be careful about what can go wrong. When adopting technology we need to balance its potential profit-loss. For example, for self-driving we need to create a sub-rule, while in the healthcare sector we need to create a frame work.
